Korede Falua, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric NP
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of nursing experience, including extensive experience in adult behavioral health and inpatient psychiatric research. Throughout my career, I’ve cared for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders, and I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside patients receiving advanced treatments including ECT, ketamine therapy, and TMS.
I believe mental health care should be accessible, individualized, and collaborative. My approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with an understanding of the person beyond their diagnosis, including their experiences, values, culture, relationships, and daily life. I strive to create a space where patients can be open and honest, ask questions without judgment, and feel actively involved in decisions about their care.
In my practice, I focus primarily on adult mental health and medication management. I bring a calm, thoughtful presence to each visit and take the time to understand what is working, what isn’t, and what changes may help you feel better. My goal is not simply to manage symptoms, but to help patients develop a treatment plan that feels safe, realistic, and meaningful to them.
I earned my Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University, my Master of Science in Nursing in Community & Public Health Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Howard University. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time with my husband, family, friends, and my two dogs.
