Kristen graduated with her Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2010 and holds an LCSW-C in the state of Maryland as well as in Virginia.
Kristen has lived and worked in Hawaii, the District of Columbia, and Maryland during her career. She has worked with a wide variety of populations in various capacities. Populations include; active duty military, veterans, the homeless and mentally ill, those in a mental health crisis, those afflicted with PTSD, TBIs, and addictions. She has experience working with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families of all diverse cultural backgrounds.
Her approach tends to pull from CBT, DBT, and Buddhist psychology. She is currently working on a certificate in Contemplative Psychotherapy through the Nalanda Institute in NYC. Kristen is a military spouse and has two young boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, fishing, and biking.
